Swedish 16 years old climate activist Greta Thunberg was named 2019’s “Person of the Year” by TIME Magazine today. Greta started out by skipping school on fridays to protest against Swedish Parliament not doing enough to stop climate change. Students all over the world joined in to protest against climate change and her skipping school turned into the “Fridays For Future” movement. She has been praised by the Pope and Dalai Llama, but she has also had her share of hate. US President Trump tweeted sarcastical about her some months ago, and Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro called Thunberg a “brat” after she tweeted about people who had been murdered while trying to protect the Amazon from deforestation.
